Vapes are essential for those using them to quit smoking
Vaping is a critical tool to help people quit smoking.
For those who need to use vaping to quit smoking, vaping product must remain widely available, even during lockdowns. We are of course all aware of the harm that can be caused by covid-19, but we also need to be aware that 14 people die every day in Aoteoroa New Zealand from smoking related causes. We need to protect the public from both harms. In relation to smoking, one of those protections is to help people quit smoking through the less harmful vaping.
