Media Release: ASH publishes correspondence released under OIA
Today, the Office of Hon Casey Costello released 66 pages of correspondence involving ASH, Robert Beaglehole and Ruth Bonita following an Official Information Act request.
ASH has published the complete release package as supplied by the Minister’s office, together with a factual summary:
The correspondence largely concerns published research, smoking-cessation initiatives, harm-reduction policy, ASH survey information, meetings and Professor Beaglehole’s participation in New Zealand’s delegation to COP11.
ASH is independently funded by our members, donations, and grant funding.
ASH does not take funds from tobacco, pharmaceutical, nicotine, vaping or gambling industries.
We are available to answer factual questions about the correspondence.
